At Pressalit, quality is about taking responsibility. High-quality design means combining aesthetics, comfort, safety and functionality into one seamless solution.
Our global presence ensures local knowledge and expertise. Since 1954, using high-quality materials has been a natural part of everything we do. We take responsibility for delivering safe, high-quality products that comply with applicable legislation and recognised standards.
Through active participation in standardisation committees under Danish Standards (DS) and ISO, Pressalit gains early insight into upcoming requirements. This enables us to continuously comply with both current and future standards.
Our Quality Management System and Environmental Management System are continuously developed in accordance with the latest versions of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001. Pressalit is certified by an accredited certification body.

Everything we do is driven by a desire to make a difference for our users. We never compromise on quality and continuously strive to improve the performance and reliability of our products.
We stand behind our products, and our warranty reflects this commitment.
By complying with international standards, we ensure high quality, safety and conformity with recognised requirements and test methods for Pressalit's assistive products for personal care.
With decades of experience in assistive technology and medical devices, we have been serving the market since the 1970s. We set high standards for our suppliers and therefore collaborate with leading specialist companies such as LINAK A/S, which supplies certified electrical components for electromedical equipment in accordance with EN IEC 60601-1. These components include cables, actuators and control boxes for our healthcare products.
We develop, design and manufacture products in accordance with the internationally harmonised Quality Management System standard for medical devices (EN ISO 13485:2016). Product safety is continuously maintained through the application of risk management in accordance with EN ISO 14971:2019.
Pressalit products are tested against the relevant international product standard specifying requirements and test methods for assistive products for personal hygiene (ISO 17966:2016).
We are committed to meeting users' needs while continuously monitoring and complying with current regulatory requirements.
We test our products extensively throughout the development process, and we are proud to have achieved certification from the German testing institute TÜV SÜD.
TÜV SÜD is an accredited independent testing organisation that evaluates a wide range of assistive products. A TÜV certification provides independent third-party verification through a systematic assessment of both the product and its supporting documentation against a recognised standard.

All Pressalit PLUS support arms are TÜV certified in accordance with ISO 17966 and carry the TÜV certification mark.
We never compromise when it comes to testing our products and solutions.
Our products are tested against the applicable standard for each product category. Products such as support arms, shower seats, shower changing tables, toilet lifts, wash basin brackets and grab rails are tested in accordance with ISO 17966. This standard specifies minimum requirements for both static and dynamic testing.
See our brochure on test methods here.
At Pressalit, we test our products to ensure they can withstand even the most demanding conditions. That is why we often carry out tests that exceed the requirements of the applicable standard. By pushing our products beyond standard requirements through rigorous testing, we identify potential weaknesses before they reach the market.
This enables us to stand behind every claim we make about the performance, durability and safety of our products.

For example, the illustration shows our test method for a support arm. The load which the product can withstand increases the further back on the support arm one tests it. However, we have decided to state the lowest values, which means that the lifespan of the product is even longer in use, as the load is often applied closer to the wall.
All tests have been conducted by mounting the products on a solid wall, which is what Pressalit recommends. The lifespan of the product is not affected in any way by the wall type. However, the overall solution will inevitably be influenced by the condition and material of the wall, so reinforcement should always be used if the wall is not stable.
We test the products dynamically by subjecting them vertically 10,000 times to a load lasting 2 seconds. The weight specifications on our products state how many kilogrammes the products can withstand at their outermost points using this test method.
We also conduct a static test on our products, and we therefore know exactly how many kilogrammes each product can carry for 1 minute. The static test is also carried out on the weakest part of each product.
In addition to the test methods described above, our support arms and armrests undergo side load testing to ensure they can withstand the lateral forces generated when a user, for example a wheelchair user, transfers to or from the product.
During the side load test, the product is subjected to 10,000 load cycles at a 45° angle, with each load maintained for 2 seconds.
